At the French Academy, we try to make the application process as simple as possible. For the full time school, the process typically works as follows.

Once you have attended a presentation and a tour of our facility, you can fill out the registration form and return it, along with non-refundable application fee of $80, to our mailing address.

Then, we will arrange a private interview with both parents and child and a playgroup for your child.

Following this pre-enrollment visit, you will receive a registration package as well as a financial agreement.

The financial agreement, along with a non-refundable deposit of one month of tuition toward the following year’s tuition, is required to guarantee your child’s place in the class. However, if there are no openings, the deposit will be refunded. We strongly encourage you to enroll your child before the end of February.

Pre-school

Nursery                                  2 years by the first day of school

Pre-K 3                                  3 years old by Dec. 31st

Pre-K 4                                  4 years old by Dec. 31st

Kindergarten                        5 years old by Dec. 31st

Children in our nursery program do not have to be toilet trained. However, preschool students must be fully toilet trained. Knowledge of French, while helpful, is not necessary to enter Preschool.

Elementary School – 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th Grade

First grade                             6 years old by Dec. 31st

Knowledge of French is mandatory to enter any class from first grade and up.  Children coming from non-French schools will have to take a test to determine their proficiency levels.
